This progress update is published for transparency purposes and to meet reporting and disclosure requirements associated with BayWa Global Produce’s SBTi-validated targets. The information presented reflects company-level targets, activities and reported results at a specific point in time and should be considered together with the accompanying GHG inventory and underlying methodology.

This update is intended primarily to support business-to-business dialogue and collaboration with customers, suppliers and other value chain partners. It is not intended as a marketing communication, environmental product claim or independent substantiation of environmental benefits, environmental performance or future outcomes. References to company-level targets or reported results should not be interpreted as applying to individual products, services or customer-specific activities.

SBTi Progress Update (December 18, 2025)

This update summarizes activities and reported results related to BayWa Global Produce’s science-based climate targets, which were validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in 2024.

During the reporting period, the company continued implementing measures related to energy efficiency, renewable electricity sourcing, supplier engagement and the reduction of land-related emissions. Reported emissions data and target-related indicators are provided in the accompanying GHG inventory table.

As of 2024, reported Scope 1 and 2 emissions were 19% lower than the 2021 base year. The company continued procuring electricity from renewable electricity sources, as reported in its GHG inventory and supporting documentation. The supplier engagement program was further expanded through dialogue and outreach activities with key suppliers. Reported FLAG emissions were 13% lower for Scope 1 and 22% lower for Scope 3 compared with the 2021 base year. The company also continued applying its deforestation-free sourcing requirements for relevant commodities.

BayWa Global Produce plans to continue activities related to emissions reduction, renewable energy procurement and supplier engagement in support of its SBTi-validated targets. Further information is available in the accompanying GHG inventory table and the BayWa AG Sustainability Report.
