As a contractual marketer of Wuerttembergische Obstgenossenschaft Raiffeisen eG (WOG), the company collects harvest-fresh fruit directly from growers in Southern Germany. Together with its partners, the company sells the products in Europe and on new markets worldwide.

With more than 2,000 employees and operations in more than 60 countries worldwide, T&G Global is a market leader in the distribution and export of fresh fruit. In New Zealand and select regions on various continents, experienced growers produce a diverse range of apples, but also asparagus, berries and citrus, as well as table grapes and tomatoes.

To ensure responsible and sustainable production, T&G is constantly doing research on new growing methods and investing in the development of varieties, technologies and innovations – from plant genetics to distribution.

Hot Climate Programme

Through its subsidiary VentureFruit™, T&G is involved in breeding new varieties in the categories of pome fruit, berries and grapes. The company is also the exclusive commercialization partner of the Hot Climate Breeding Programme focusing on climate-resilient apples and pears.

For more than a quarter of a century, TFC has been a specialist in the exotic fruit and vegetable sector. To ensure stable value chains, the company procures its products from more than 50 countries worldwide. TFC itself is also active in growing fruit and stands for long-term supply relationships with growers and customers.

Every day, the more than 150 employees at TFC take care of packing and delivering over 200 different exotic fruits and vegetables. In particular, avocados and mangos in ready-to-eat quality enrich the product portfolio.

Deeply rooted in production

TFC is committed to being a service partner that also provides advice for its customers on category development and offers tailor-made solutions. TFC products are mainly placed on the shelves of food retail and wholesale markets in Europe, from Scandinavia to Spain. Directly involved in the products’ countries of origin, TFC maintains close and long-standing relationships with its growers – for the shortest possible supply chains and first-hand customer service.

Production of fruit vegetables according to European standards

In a 12 ha climate-controlled greenhouse located in Al Ain, the Al Dahra BayWa joint venture grows tomatoes to supply the local market year-round. By using state-of-the-art greenhouse technology and bringing together competencies, the experienced international team has proven that year-round production of tomatoes to European standards is possible even in this demanding climate zone.

Food from domestic cultivation

In this way, the project contributes to the United Arab Emirates’ target of increasing the availability of locally grown food and self-sufficiency. From rearing seedlings to cultivation and packaging, all the companie´s processes are located within the greenhouse in Al Ain.

“Mahalli” and “Eve” in local retail year-round

Thanks to efficient customer service from a single source and short distances to the retail shelves, the diverse range of products stands for quality and freshness. Under the company’s own brands “Mahalli” and “Eve”, tomatoes from Al Ain can be found in the local retail year round.
